With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harald Holm in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Holmgren saved Älta from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Harald Holm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Östra Ljungby's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Holm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patric Hökkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Hökkvist in the 57th minute of play forced Östra Ljungby's goalkeeper Olov Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Patric Hökkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Emanuel Österlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kurt Holmgren. Älta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Österlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Östra Ljungby's goalkeeper Olov Johnsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erling Brander's late challenge caught a Älta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erling Brander helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Östra Ljungby got a freekick which was hit by Erling Brander. Östra Ljungby were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
