Hammarby IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Egil Lövskog scored to the left of an out of position Gustaf Löv, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Todor Georgiev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Löv came out of the goal and Todor Georgiev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucrețiu Boaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Klemensson in the 12th minute of play. Henrik Öman's late challenge caught a Stjärnsund BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Öman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Stjärnsund BK. Oskar Lindberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustaf Löv. 2-0. After 21 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Ahlqvist. Gustaf Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Lindberg in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Todor Georgiev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustaf Löv, 3-0. In the 26th minute Todor Georgiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fredric Bergqvist came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Stjärnsund BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredric Bergqvist couldn't finish the play. Egil Lövskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Löv having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Hubert Klemensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Boaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egil Lövskog got free with Gustaf Löv in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stjärnsund BK's Fredric Bergqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Stjärnsund BK booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Fredric Bergqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Löv came out of the goal and Fredric Bergqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Todor Georgiev made a kick off. Fredric Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Löv having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play, Stjärnsund BK's Fredric Bergqvist made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustaf Löv was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Lucas Vesterberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Hubert Klemensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stjärnsund BK's Todor Georgiev got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Todor Georgiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80thth minute of the game Todor Georgiev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammarby IF's Gustaf Löv was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Todor Georgiev came free, but Gustaf Löv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Hammarby IF defense, Torbjörn Björkqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustaf Löv. The Hammarby IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustaf Löv should have stopped the shot. Fredric Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaf Löv stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todor Georgiev's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stjärnsund BK fully deserved thier win.
