Nils-Emil Billing was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Torsten Lindberg came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Almén IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Lindberg couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Kråk in the 8th minute of play forced Almén IF's goalkeeper Nils-Emil Billing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Malmström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Biörk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils-Emil Billing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Abrahamsson in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dians Stjärnor's Evert Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 15th minute. Torsten Lindberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Adam Malmström made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Magnus Bengtsson during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Almén IF got a freekick which was hit by Per-Olof Lindell. In the 27th match minute, Almén IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Almén IF's zone, Evert Abrahamsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Emil Billing came out of the goal and Evert Abrahamsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per-Olof Lindell's late challenge caught a Dians Stjärnor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per-Olof Lindell helped the player get up and apologised. Per-Olof Lindell kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Per-Olof Lindell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Adam Malmström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennart Björkman was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Philip Kråk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils-Emil Billing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Björkman in the 53rd minute of the match. Karl-Magnus Bengtsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Malmström having to make a save. Karl-Magnus Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lennart Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nils-Emil Billing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Almén IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Björkman came free, but Nils-Emil Billing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dians Stjärnor's Lennart Drewitz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Harry Lagerberg in the 95 minute of the game. The Dians Stjärnor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
