With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Albäck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Bänknötarnas BK's Ivan Albäck got control of the ball when Birger Bern tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Bänknötarnas BK's Krister Ahlbeck seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Krister Ahlbeck the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bänknötarnas BK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Krister Ahlbeck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. One of Bänknötarnas BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kattgårdens I F:s goal. In the 35th minute of the game, Kattgårdens I F got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Strandberg in the 43rd minute of play forced Bänknötarnas BK's goalkeeper Ivan Albäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bänknötarnas BK's Ivan Albäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Hermansson in the 83rd minute of play. When Higinio Fernanco came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Bänknötarnas BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Fernanco couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Yngve Gustavsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bänknötarnas BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Yngve Gustavsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvin Asserlind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Higinio Fernanco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Edvin Asserlind when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kent Björkdahl's late challenge caught a Bänknötarnas BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
