Osvaldo Oriol made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Otto Sjö sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute Birger Fribäck suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Hampus Adelsköld's late challenge caught a BK Häcken Tången's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hampus Adelsköld helped the player get up and apologised. BK Häcken Tången's Axel Dahlbom was substituted for Birger Fribäck. In the 8th minute, Hampus Adelsköld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes, Mikael Bremming made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Leijon IF's Gilbert Mikaelsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mikael Bremming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Mikaelsson having to interfere. When Mikael Bremming came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the BK Häcken Tången fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Bremming couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Charles Ivarsson made a precise shot to the right of Gilbert Mikaelsson. Leijon IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Mikael Bremming had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Dahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gilbert Mikaelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Leijon IF's Gert Jonsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otto Sjö got free with Osvaldo Oriol in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andréas Hellström made a kick off. Gilbert Mikaelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikael Bremming went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Leijon IF's zone, Mikael Bremming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Mikaelsson came out of the goal and Mikael Bremming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The BK Häcken Tången fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when BK Häcken Tången's Mikael Bremming looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th minute, Mikael Bremming got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Charles Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Mikael Bremming left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Häcken Tången fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Mikael Bremming in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gilbert Mikaelsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Leijon IF's zone, August Pihlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Mikaelsson came out of the goal and August Pihlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mikael Bremming who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Gilbert Mikaelsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. BK Häcken Tången's Mikael Bremming came free and shot a quick shot against goal 88 minutes in the game, fortunately Gilbert Mikaelsson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Mikael Bremming got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Osvaldo Oriol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andréas Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Bremming in the 96th minute of play forced Leijon IF's goalkeeper Gilbert Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BK Häcken Tången's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
