Alcides Niedermeier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Elias Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Landin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17th play minutes Alcides Niedermeier shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Elias Tingelholm and just under the crossbar into goal. 23 minutes into the match, Zlatans Apostlar's goalkeeper Elias Tingelholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alcides Niedermeier. 25 minutes into the match, Mattias Landin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Åke Sjöö. Djurgårdens IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mattias Landin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mattias Landin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Åke Sjöö having to interfere. Mattias Landin struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Bengt-Åke Sjöö didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zlatans Apostlar. Bengt-Åke Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Per-Åke Lundblad hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Zlatans Apostlar got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Lundblad. 48 minutes into the game, Ivar Bredberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bengt-Åke Sjöö was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Djurgårdens IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zlatans Apostlar were winning 1-2.

A collision led to Zlatans Apostlar getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rudolf Isaksson hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Fred Harlén. Bengt-Åke Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Bredberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivar Bredberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Åke Sjöö having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Alcides Niedermeier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alcides Niedermeier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Tingelholm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Morgan Söderberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Landin got free with Bengt-Åke Sjöö in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mattias Landin came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Zlatans Apostlar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattias Landin couldn't finish the play. Zlatans Apostlar were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Djurgårdens IF's much stronger midfield.
