Karl-Michael Vallengren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Joakim Viklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Veinge IK's goalkeeper Thor Olenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Utfal. Thor Olenberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Viktor Utfal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Veinge IK's Karl-Michael Vallengren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joakim Viklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by AIK Stockholm's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Veinge IK's Thor Olenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Skytt in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Veinge IK's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Holmstedt came free, but Thor Olenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, AIK Stockholm's Viktor Utfal got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Veinge IK booed when AIK Stockholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Vinström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joakim Viklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Vallengren in the 83rd minute of play.
