Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hampus Winström took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Erik Löfdahl in the 7th minute of play forced Mariestad RK's goalkeeper Elliott Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Källby RK booed when Mariestad RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ragnar Jelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Albert Ek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Cane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otto Cane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dan Tunander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Hampus Winström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariestad RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hampus Winström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Tunander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Otto Cane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Tunander came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mariestad RK's Hampus Winström. But to his dismay, Hampus Winström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Elliott Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Löfdahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Hampus Winström in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dan Tunander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albert Ek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Otto Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Otto Cane came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Mariestad RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Cane couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Ulf Dahlbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Kvalfält took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elliott Berg. Mariestad RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dan Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Cane in the 65th minute of play. Hampus Winström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariestad RK's Elliott Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Ek in the 69th minute of play. Otto Cane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Tunander having to make a save. Otto Cane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dan Tunander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mariestad RK's Göran Forsberg got a free kick in the 75th minute. Mariestad RK's Otto Cane got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greger Sundberg's late challenge caught a Mariestad RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Greger Sundberg helped the player get up and apologised. When Otto Cane came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Mariestad RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Cane couldn't finish the play. Källby RK's Dan Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Cane in the 89th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ragnar Jelm during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mariestad RK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty!
