Alexander Gullesson scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Morgan Smed, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Morgan Smed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Gullesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 25th minute, Albin Palm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Twister's Markus Siöberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC Twister from getting a goal against them. After having played for 29 minutes, Alexander Gullesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Twister's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Gullesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Göran Vesterberg hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Morgan Smed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Gullesson's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Morgan Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Kvist in the 42nd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rikard Forss made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Västra Frölunda's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Gullesson came free, but Morgan Smed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Västra Frölunda got a freekick which was hit by Rikard Forss. Morgan Smed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Gullesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Albin Palm's late challenge caught a FC Twister's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Palm helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute Alexander Gullesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Smed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sven-Olof Löv came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the FC Twister fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Löv couldn't finish the play. Markus Siöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Bennet in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Twister booed when Västra Frölunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikard Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markus Siöberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albin Palm went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Sven-Olof Löv fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Twister's protests and gave Sven-Olof Löv a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes FC Twister got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Löv. Alexander Gullesson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Morgan Smed made a huge save. Juozas Bruzas might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Morgan Smed. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juozas Bruzas ran back to his position shaking his head. Rikard Forss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Siöberg having to interfere. Morgan Smed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Gullesson's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Despite being the better team, FC Twister failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
