In the 3rdth minute of the game Rune Kvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petroleum Puppies FC's Robert Jernberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th match minute, Petroleum Puppies FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Alin to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Ruperto Argina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vidar Askelöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fernando Muslera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Brask got free with Fernando Muslera in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Rune Kvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Jernberg came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Brunskog IF's Sigvard Rydberg. But to his dismay, Sigvard Rydberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Robert Jernberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Kvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Brunskog IF's Fernando Muslera got control of the ball when Ruperto Argina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rune Kvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Sigvard Rydberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Jernberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Petroleum Puppies FC's Kristoffer Alfors got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Patrik Strömberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert Jernberg. Petroleum Puppies FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 56 minutes, Adrian Högberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brunskog IF and the Petroleum Puppies FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Adrian Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Jernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Kvist in the 62nd minute of the match. Konrad Alin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Sigvard Rydberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Petroleum Puppies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Kvist came free, but Robert Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Kvist in the 71st minute of play forced Petroleum Puppies FC's goalkeeper Robert Jernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Petroleum Puppies FC's goalkeeper Robert Jernberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ture Wästerberg. When Sigvard Rydberg came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Brunskog IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigvard Rydberg couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Ruperto Argina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Morgan Asserlindh hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Robert Jernberg was a little too slow when Rune Kvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-4. Brunskog IF's Sigvard Rydberg managed to work through Petroleum Puppies FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sigvard Rydberg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 92 minutes into the game, Morgan Asserlindh threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brunskog IF's Jon Malmgren quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 94 minutes into the match, Ruperto Argina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Muslera. Brunskog IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruperto Argina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Brunskog IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Petroleum Puppies FC.
