Meng Wei Yi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Emander in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Robert Malmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Godholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Pihlblad took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pontus Godholm. Pontus Godholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Pontus Godholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Pihlblad in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Anton Pihlblad reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pontus Godholm. The goal made the score 3-0. Bengt Wästerberg's late challenge caught a Insjön IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Wästerberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Insjön IFK booed when Motala AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Wästerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Motala AIF's Pontus Godholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Pihlblad in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Malmgren got free with Pontus Godholm in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Anton Pihlblad took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Pontus Godholm to make any attempt to save it. Pontus Godholm made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Eulalio Bilbo sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Pontus Godholm managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Insjön IFK's Eulalio Bilbo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Emander was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Insjön IFK's goalkeeper Meng Wei Yi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Emander. Simon Pihlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Meng Wei Yi made a huge save. Pontus Godholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Malmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pontus Godholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Bilbo in the 58th minute of the match. Pontus Godholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Malmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 95 played minutes Motala AIF got a freekick which was hit by Lars Norberg. Tobias Siggman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pontus Godholm. Motala AIF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Insjön IFK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Motala AIF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
