Hammenhög's Gustaf Jonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Arvin Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Strömqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Strömqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arvin Axelsson went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 48 played minutes Sandhult IFK got a freekick which was hit by Sten Stor. In the 49th minute of the match Paul Wallmark shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lars Strömqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertil Månsson was the one to do the kick off. Gustaf Jonsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandhult IFK's Lars Strömqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Sandhult IFK from getting a goal against them. Ola Kjellberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gabriel Hermansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertil Månsson in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Hermansson saved Hammenhög from getting behind. Ola Kjellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Bertil Månsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Hammenhög fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Hammenhög's Gustaf Jonsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 82nd minute, Tommy Vikström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes of play, Sandhult IFK's Isaac Abrahamsson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Hermansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ola Kjellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Hermansson having to interfere. If Ola Kjellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
