Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lennart Carlsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Kolmården's Ingemar Enström got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kolmården's zone, Leif Wenerdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Erik Sjöberg came out of the goal and Leif Wenerdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egil Arvidsson made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Lucas Larsson sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Kolmården's Bengt-Åke Bodin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Arvidsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucas Larsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Egil Arvidsson made a huge save. After 16 played minutes Munkarnas Rike got a freekick which was hit by Leif Wenerdahl. Munkarnas Rike's Egil Arvidsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Munkarnas Rike from getting a goal against them. When Bengt-Åke Bodin came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Kolmården fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Åke Bodin couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bengt-Åke Bodin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egil Arvidsson. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. After 33 played minutes Munkarnas Rike got a freekick which was hit by Roy Ström. Kolmården's Lucas Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egil Arvidsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Larsson in the 39th minute. Egil Arvidsson had great luck who in the 41stth minute grab hold of the ball when Bengt-Åke Bodin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Lucas Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes in the game, Bengt-Åke Bodin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Egil Arvidsson having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Munkarnas Rike got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Carlsson. In the 48th minute Bengt-Åke Bodin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Egil Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Bodin in the 52nd minute of play. Kolmården's Lucas Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kolmården booed when Munkarnas Rike was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Brogren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Munkarnas Rike's goalkeeper Egil Arvidsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Lucas Larsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kolmården fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bengt-Åke Bodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Arvidsson having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Bodin struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Egil Arvidsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kolmården. Ingemar Enström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Munkarnas Rike defense, Ingemar Enström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egil Arvidsson. The Munkarnas Rike fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egil Arvidsson should have stopped the shot. Bengt-Åke Bodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Egil Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Kolmården got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Enström.
