With a little luck, FC Sidsjö's Viktor Hellström got control of the ball when Torsten Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aleksander Lövkvist in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Viktor Hellström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Viktor Hellström was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Evert Anundsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evert Anundsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casper Gerdberg in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Oskar Ekerot saved Vänersborg FF from getting behind. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vänersborg FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernt Spets was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Sidsjö's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Bengt Uter managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Leif Hurtig might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Oskar Ekerot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Hurtig ran back to his position shaking his head. If Casper Gerdberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute of the match Bernt Spets sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven-Oskar Ekerot skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Vänersborg FF's Torsten Dahlberg got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Evert Anundsson came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Vänersborg FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evert Anundsson couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, Torsten Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vänersborg FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Sidsjö the free kick. The supporters of FC Sidsjö booed when Vänersborg FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Dahlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Aleksander Lövkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänersborg FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksander Lövkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evert Anundsson made a kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of FC Sidsjö:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vänersborg FF:s goal. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Vänersborg FF. Harald Harman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Viktor Hellström. 3-0. Viktor Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Lövkvist in the 59th minute of the match. Evert Anundsson struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Viktor Hellström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vänersborg FF. In the 61st match minute, FC Sidsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Kellbom to maneuver through the defense. Evert Anundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Hellström having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Aleksander Lövkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänersborg FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksander Lövkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, Aleksander Lövkvist notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Sidsjö's Viktor Hellström. Viktor Hellström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vänersborg FF's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Ekerot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Leif Hurtig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Anundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Aleksander Lövkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Hellström having to interfere. When Leif Hurtig came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the FC Sidsjö fans jumped to their feet. In the 89th minute, Christer Hybbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evert Anundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evert Anundsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor Hellström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 100th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Vänersborg FF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
