The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ingvar Eriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 3 minutes into the game, Kristianstad FC's Sigvard Arvidsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ola Lundin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 5th minute, Timmy Sigman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bjärred getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Joakim Högström hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bjärred's zone, Ragnar Magnusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ola Lundin came out of the goal and Ragnar Magnusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sigvard Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ola Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philip Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kristianstad FC's Karl-Åke Wiklund shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ola Lundin but with some difficulty. Sigvard Arvidsson struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ola Lundin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kristianstad FC. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sigvard Arvidsson made a kick off. Ola Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Philip Gustafsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jack Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Kjellqvist in the 58th minute of play. Sigvard Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ola Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute of the match Karl-Åke Wiklund shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ola Lundin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Bjärred's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvard Arvidsson came free, but Ola Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Bjärred was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Fagrell to maneuver through the defense. Ragnar Magnusson missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 75 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ola Lundin right hand side. In the 77th minute, Sigvard Arvidsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kristianstad FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 80th minute of the match Karl-Åke Wiklund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ola Lundin skillfully saved the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Sigvard Arvidsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bjärred's Ola Lundin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Philip Gustafsson came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Kristianstad FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Gustafsson couldn't finish the play. Sigvard Arvidsson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ola Lundin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kristianstad FC. Kristianstad FC's Ragnar Magnusson got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ola Lundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Arvidsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute of the match Karl-Åke Wiklund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ola Lundin skillfully saved the ball. Ola Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Arvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kristianstad FC fully deserved thier win.
