Inge Alberg charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inge Alberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes Målilla RK got a freekick which was hit by Inge Alberg. Algot Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 12 minutes on the clock, Villiam Snäll commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Niclas Nyqvist went to the wrong direction when Jens-Åke Svensson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Målilla RK's Algot Nilsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niclas Nyqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25thth minute of the game Algot Nilsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viggbyholm FC's Niclas Nyqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, John Bern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Algot Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Niclas Nyqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viggbyholm FC's Niclas Nyqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Bern in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Målilla RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ola Anundsson to maneuver through the defense. The Viggbyholm FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Målilla RK were winning 0-1.

Viggbyholm FC's Niclas Nyqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Nilsson in the 51st minute of play. Niclas Nyqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peder Boström went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Målilla RK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Peder Boström hit a great ball. When Algot Nilsson fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Målilla RK's protests and gave Algot Nilsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Målilla RK got a freekick which was hit by Algot Nilsson. Hannes Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Söderberg having to interfere. Inge Alberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Niclas Nyqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 82 played minutes, Målilla RK's Verner Jönsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niclas Nyqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Målilla RK reached it. In the 82nd match minute, Målilla RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Alberg to maneuver through the defense. If Peder Boström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hannes Nilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Målilla RK's Inge Alberg got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
