The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ted Stenberg during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Sven-Arne Lindblom, was totally fooled by Styrbjörnsstrand FFF's Stefan Alstedt, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Jerry Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stefan Alstedts short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Sven-Arne Lindblom to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 30 played minutes Morjärv IK got a freekick which was hit by Knut Majman. The supporters of Styrbjörnsstrand FFF booed when Morjärv IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Majman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Arne Lindblom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Bäcklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Lennart Nyqvist made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Styrbjörnsstrand FFF's Axel Bäcklin made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Arne Lindblom was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Styrbjörnsstrand FFF's Henrik Bergqvist got control of the ball when Karl-Magnus Smed tried to sneak it across the goal line. Knut Majman's late challenge caught a Styrbjörnsstrand FFF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knut Majman helped the player get up and apologised. Sven-Arne Lindblom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Bäcklin in the 68th minute of play forced Morjärv IK's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Lindblom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Beckström kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Morjärv IK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Anton Kjellkvist hit a great ball. In the 80th match minute, Morjärv IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Majman to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match, Anton Kjellkvist got a very nice opportunity to score, but Henrik Bergqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sven-Arne Lindblom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Alstedt in the 89th minute of play. Axel Bäcklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morjärv IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
