Fritz Nyman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Kellman's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 24th minute, Billdal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Karl-Johan Odman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Alex Kellman, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fritz Nyman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bengt-Rune Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börge Widberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Alex Kellman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bengt-Rune Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Widberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krister Sjö was the one to do the kick off. Fritz Nyman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Johan Odman's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Billdal's zone, Karl-Johan Odman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fritz Nyman came out of the goal and Karl-Johan Odman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Johan Odman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Nyman having to interfere. Börge Widberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Rune Forsberg having to interfere. Börge Widberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Rune Forsberg made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Börge Widberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Krister Sjö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenneth Nordgren charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenneth Nordgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
