Though ot was a great shot Abo´s Akademi FC's keeper André Tingberg was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Herbert Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Tingberg having to interfere. André Tingberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Eriksson in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Abo´s Akademi FC's André Tingberg got control of the ball when Herbert Eriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Herbert Eriksson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Tingberg, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Abo´s Akademi FC's zone, Konrad Gerdberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Tingberg came out of the goal and Konrad Gerdberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abo´s Akademi FC's André Tingberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Abo´s Akademi FC from getting a goal against them. In the 34th match minute, De Finska Lejonen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frans Lundberg to maneuver through the defense. Kurt Sundling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, one of Abo´s Akademi FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Abo´s Akademi FC. The supporters of Abo´s Akademi FC booed when De Finska Lejonen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bror Strömberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Herbert Eriksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Finska Lejonen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abo´s Akademi FC the free kick. A collision led to De Finska Lejonen getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Herbert Eriksson hit a great ball. Kurt Sundlings short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Adrian Stål to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 59 played minutes De Finska Lejonen got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Landin. Kurt Sundling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Stål having to interfere. Herbert Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. André Tingberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Herbert Eriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Tingberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Tingberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Gerdberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Herbert Eriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute, Herbert Eriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Tingberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Herbert Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. André Tingberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abo´s Akademi FC's Kurt Sundling got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bror Strömberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Abo´s Akademi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bror Strömberg couldn't finish the play. Abo´s Akademi FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
