Hjo BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Erik Gummeson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sebastian Widberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Joar Kilberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Erik Gummeson in the 27th minute of play forced Gävlebusarna IF's goalkeeper Ronny Tillman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Sebastian Widberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Max Söderman scored 3-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stefan Jonasson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Ronny Tillman managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Hjo BF's Per-Erik Gummeson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gävlebusarna IF's Ronny Tillman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Widberg in the 83rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gävlebusarna IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hjo BF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
