After 6 played minutes, Vargarna's Johnny Gunnarsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronny Tillman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vargarna reached it. In the 8th minute, Vargarna's Magne Kullgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronny Tillman. Ronny Tillman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Max Söderman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Berggren having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gävlebusarna IF's zone, Jan-Ove Hedkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronny Tillman came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Hedkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar Benet in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiktor Berggren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wiktor Berggren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Söderman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Brenner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Berggren having to interfere. Valdemar Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Berggren having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magne Kullgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vargarna booed when Gävlebusarna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ola Alrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Tillman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magne Kullgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Valdemar Benet came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Gävlebusarna IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Benet couldn't finish the play. Karl-Åke Alefors kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Söderman in the 60th minute of play forced Vargarna's goalkeeper Wiktor Berggren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vargarna's Wiktor Berggren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Vargarna from getting a goal against them. Valdemar Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Berggren having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vargarna's Philip Ståhlman got a free kick in the 88th minute. Ronny Tillman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Hedkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Gävlebusarna IF were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Vargarna to leave the ground with a draw.
