Bel Air City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK the free kick. In the 3rd minute, one of Bel Air City FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bel Air City FC. Johannes Viklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt Svensson having to make a save. Leo Arhenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Bel Air City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Ekenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Arhenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper Bengt Svensson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stefan Ekenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Ingemarsson during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Timmy Lundqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bel Air City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Timmy Lundqvist came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Bel Air City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. Timmy Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Timmy Lundqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Svensson having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leo Arhenius to make the kick off. Bel Air City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy Lundqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Anthon Kuse came free, but Bengt Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Leo Arhenius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stefan Ekenberg. Leo Arhenius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Harry Ingemarsson got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 93rd minute, Harry Ingemarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Bel Air City FC had been in control for most of the match, AIK still came away with the win.
