Kvarteret Skatan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Månstad IF the free kick. Ernst Askberg hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Ernst Askberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Månstad IF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Boris Grönlund hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Tobias Kämpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Kalfhage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Askberg in the 27th minute of play. Ingvar Ekrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. John Kalfhage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gösta Britz got free with Rasmus Ekström in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernst Askberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A hard shot 55 in the game by Ernst Askberg from a close distance when the talented John Kalfhage managed to make a qualified save. Kvarteret Skatan's players were relieved. Ernst Askberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 57th playminute. Karl-Erik Lindström hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. John Kalfhage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Ekrot in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Kvarteret Skatan getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Petter Hammarbäck hit a great ball. Boris Grönlund was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. John Kalfhage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Ekrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Ingvar Ekrot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Månstad IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Ekrot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Ernst Askberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernst Askberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. John Kalfhage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Kvarteret Skatan's goalkeeper John Kalfhage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernst Askberg. Ernst Askbergs short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got John Kalfhage to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 86 played minutes Kvarteret Skatan got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Täman. Månstad IF's Ian Ljungberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by John Kalfhage but with some difficulty. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Månstad IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
