When the match had been going on for 10 minutes, Knugarnas IF's Nicklas Ahlstedt got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gunnar Nordstedt. Jörn Nässén struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Gunnar Nordstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knugarnas IF. After a defensive mix-up in Knugarnas IF's zone, Osvald Alebäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Låsberg came out of the goal and Osvald Alebäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gunnar Nordstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Nässén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Dalman hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Jörn Nässén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knugarnas IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörn Nässén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arman Friberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Arman Friberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvald Alebäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edwin Låsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvald Alebäck in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörn Nässén stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
