Svante Algren came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Giant Heron's Malcolm Fors. But to his dismay, Malcolm Fors quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

SydFF's Svante Algren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save SydFF from getting a goal against them. When Håkan Åström fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SydFF's protests and gave Håkan Åström a yellow card for diving instead.
