Real City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Älghult FK the free kick. A collision led to Älghult FK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jesper Hermansson hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Eddie Karlstedt made a precise shot to the right of Jon Vik. Älghult FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 29 minutes of play, Real City's Jens-Erik Näfver made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon Vik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengt-Arne Vinström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Älghult FK's goalkeeper Jon Vik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Johannes Vennerkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jon Vik was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Eddie Karlstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Jens-Erik Näfver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Vik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gösta Liljeströms short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Jon Vik to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 65 minutes into the match, Älghult FK's goalkeeper Jon Vik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gösta Liljeström. With his leg Jon Vik managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Real City's Gösta Liljeström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Karlstedt during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jörn Alegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Vinström having to interfere. Robert Bennet's late challenge caught a Real City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Bennet helped the player get up and apologised. Robert Bennet hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Jens-Erik Näfver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
