Bengt-Arne Vinström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Henriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Johannes Vennerkvist came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Real City fans jumped to their feet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Liljeström in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sonny Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 67 minutes, Gösta Liljeström made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brunkarpojkarna's Sonny Axelsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jens-Erik Näfver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Liljeström in the 94th minute of play forced Brunkarpojkarna's goalkeeper Sonny Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
