The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Anders Helberg fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iggesund RK's protests and gave Anders Helberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Iggesund RK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Anders Helberg hit a great ball. The supporters of Iggesund RK booed when Blåsmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Lundqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anders Söderkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Thorsberg's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Blåsmark got a freekick which was hit by Birger Lundqvist. Blåsmark's Anders Söderkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Åhman in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Andreas Åhman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anders Söderkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Roy Fernkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy Fernkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute Iggesund RK were awarded a corner. Edmund Mogren went to the cornerflag to take it. Edmund Mogren made a great header on Iggesund RK's corner, it was just that Blåsmark's Anders Söderkvist managed to reach the ball for a save. Henry Thorsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Anders Söderkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Blåsmark getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Roy Fernkvist hit a great ball. Anders Söderkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Thorsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anders Helberg hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Petter Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Örjan Esbjörnsson having to interfere. Anders Söderkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Helberg in the 41st minute of play. If Henry Thorsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Åhman struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Anders Söderkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iggesund RK. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Andreas Åhman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Blåsmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. Örjan Esbjörnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Lundberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Lundberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Örjan Esbjörnsson saved Iggesund RK from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Blåsmark's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Åhman came free, but Anders Söderkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Andreas Åhman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Henry Thorsberg came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Iggesund RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Thorsberg couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Andreas Åhman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iggesund RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blåsmark the free kick. After a rather tough play, Iggesund RK's Andreas Åhman got a free kick in the 78th minute. Örjan Esbjörnsson came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Blåsmark's Jan-Åke Forsman. But to his dismay, Jan-Åke Forsman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Anders Söderkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Åhman in the 92nd minute of play. Henry Thorsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Anders Söderkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iggesund RK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
