Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bengt-Åke Jelm took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 33rd minute, Långserud got a penalty, and Bernt Näver placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After 38 minutes, Pontus Mattsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norrfjärden and the Långserud players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pontus Mattsson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Pontus Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Åke Ros made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Långserud booed when Norrfjärden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Olenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Norrfjärden defense, Åke Ros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Bremming. The Norrfjärden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Bremming should have stopped the shot. Algot Forsberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Fransson in the 64th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Bengt-Åke Jelm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norrfjärden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt-Åke Jelm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Långserud's zone, Bengt-Åke Jelm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Algot Forsberg came out of the goal and Bengt-Åke Jelm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Verner Strömqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Åke Ros notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Norrfjärden's Gunnar Bremming. Gunnar Bremming was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Algot Forsberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pontus Mattsson went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Bengt-Åke Jelm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Algot Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Jelm in the 82nd minute of play. Sten Fransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Algot Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bengt-Åke Jelm, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 87 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Algot Forsberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bengt-Åke Jelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Åke Jelm was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Bengt-Åke Jelm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrfjärden's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Åke Jelm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Algot Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
