The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes Oskarström got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Lundkvist. Jan-Olof Wester blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Erik Jakobsson having to make a save. Jan-Olof Wester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Andy Schmid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Schmid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Olof Wester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Jakobsson having to interfere. Oskarström's Sven-Erik Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Schmid in the 26th minute of play. Jesper Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Sven-Erik Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Schmid, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Oskarström's zone, Andy Schmid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Erik Jakobsson came out of the goal and Andy Schmid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Oskarström's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Wester came free, but Sven-Erik Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oskarström's Sven-Erik Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Wester in the 38th minute of play. Jan-Olof Wester hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Oskarström's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Wester came free, but Sven-Erik Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Örjan Vassenius made the kick off in the second half. Peab Korpen's Håkan Loob got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Jan-Olof Wester got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 64th minute, Håkan Loob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Erik Jakobsson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Jan-Olof Wester sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oskarström's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan-Olof Wester was slow to take the kick. During this time Peab Korpen's players had a chance to rest. Jan-Olof Wester made a great header on Peab Korpen's corner, it was just that Oskarström's Sven-Erik Jakobsson managed to reach the ball for a save. Jan-Olof Wester struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Sven-Erik Jakobsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peab Korpen. Andy Schmid kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Njurenius in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Erik Jakobsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Olof Wester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sven-Erik Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Erik Jakobsson was a little too slow when Andy Schmid got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-1. After 95 played minutes Oskarström got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Vassenius.
