Tomas Lundberg was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Andy Schmid capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andy Schmid really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a little luck, Jönköping FK's Tomas Lundberg got control of the ball when Göran Njurenius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Olof Wester struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Tomas Lundberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peab Korpen. Håkan Loob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tomas Lundberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Olof Wester got free with Tomas Lundberg in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan-Olof Wester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Schmid might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Lundberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andy Schmid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Jan-Olof Wester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peab Korpen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Olof Wester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Rune Jansson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Anton Bergström put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Charlie Berglund. 62 minutes into the game, Alfred Berg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jönköping FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peab Korpen the free kick. In the 66th minute, Jens-Ola Fogel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peab Korpen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Peab Korpen's Jan-Olof Wester got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jan-Olof Wester came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Peab Korpen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Olof Wester couldn't finish the play. If Andy Schmid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Göran Njurenius during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Conny Hultin's late challenge caught a Peab Korpen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conny Hultin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute of the match Jan-Olof Wester shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomas Lundberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jan-Olof Wester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jan-Olof Wester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peab Korpen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Olof Wester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Lundberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfred Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Peab Korpen were the better team. Peab Korpen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
