Daniel Nordin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Jönsätt having to interfere. Frans Törnqvist's late challenge caught a Benknäckargänget's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frans Törnqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Frans Törnqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Frans Törnqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johannes Markusson. Frans Törnqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Malmö FF's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Felin came free, but Thomas Jönsätt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Harald Felin came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Benknäckargänget fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Felin couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Benknäckargänget booed when Malmö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Smefeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Börge Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benknäckargänget's supporters rose to their feet, but Börge Engström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Jönsätt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johannes Markusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Törnqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the last second Johannes Markusson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Frans Törnqvist in the 44thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With his leg Johannes Markusson managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Malmö FF's Isaac Vollander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Harald Felin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Jönsätt having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börge Engström was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frans Törnqvist in the 92nd minute of play forced Benknäckargänget's goalkeeper Johannes Markusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Jönsätt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börge Engström in the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
