After a defensive mix-up in Lions FC's zone, Kristian Wahlnäs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Melander came out of the goal and Kristian Wahlnäs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Skålberg in the 18th minute of play forced CT United's goalkeeper Simon Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egil Melander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Siöman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kennet Siöman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. CT United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Egil Melander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Wahlnäs in the 25th minute. Alexander Spetz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kennet Siöman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kennet Siöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Melander having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristian Wahlnäs during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kristian Wahlnäs hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kennet Siöman in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egil Melander saved Lions FC from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kennet Siöman was the one to do the kick off. Egil Melander came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by CT United's Kristian Wahlnäs. But to his dismay, Kristian Wahlnäs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Egil Melander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Siöman in the 58th minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Siggman. In the 95th minute, Kristian Wahlnäs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egil Melander was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. There was no doubt that CT United were the better team. CT United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
