Lions FC's Egil Melander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Lions FC from getting a goal against them. Gustaf Liljeström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Skålberg in the 12th minute of the match. Lions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils Mårtensson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Nils Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Mölltorp BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Bernt Colin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egil Melander. Lions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernt Colin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alf Skålberg made the kick off in the second half. 66 minutes into the game, Lions FC's Charlie Petersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaf Liljeström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. If Nils Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egil Melander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Colin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Alf Skålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alf Skålberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gustaf Liljeström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Fredric Nord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlie Petersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gustaf Liljeström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mölltorp BK's Nils Mårtensson got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 minutes, Henry Bjursell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions FC and the Mölltorp BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Mölltorp BK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
