After a rather tough play, Hårsfjärden's Sven-Olof Dalkvist got a free kick in the 6th minute. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Sven-Erik Wahlström sped through Hårsfjärden's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of David Anselius. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Erik Wahlström got free with David Anselius in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolf Moberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Erik Brenner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddie Ljungberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jens-Erik Brenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hårsfjärden booed when Gästrike-hammarby RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Vollander didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Öberg in the 22nd minute of play forced Gästrike-hammarby RK's goalkeeper Rolf Moberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Deckberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 41 minutes into the game, Sven-Erik Wahlström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Anselius. Sven-Erik Wahlström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When Sven-Erik Wahlström came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Gästrike-hammarby RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Erik Wahlström couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jens-Erik Brenner to strike the kick off in the second half. David Anselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Britz in the 90th minute of play. David Anselius came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Gästrike-hammarby RK's Charles Britz. But to his dismay, Charles Britz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After 94 played minutes Hårsfjärden got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Dalkvist. Charles Britz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Anselius having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gästrike-hammarby RK fully deserved thier win.
