Johannes Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Bergqvist in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Tomas Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fearless's Gunnar Kämpe got a free kick in the 8th minute. Fearless's Johannes Eriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Fearless from getting a goal against them. After 11 played minutes Fearless got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Blom. Jens Björnsson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Eriksson. Johannes Eriksson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 16th minute, Tomas Bergqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th match minute, Fearless was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Lind to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Jens Björnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Thomas Lundström fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fearless's protests and gave Thomas Lundström a yellow card for diving instead. Egil Edström kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Nils Rosen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaac Blom's late challenge caught a IFK Ystad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Blom helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Fearless getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Isaac Blom hit a great ball. Jens Björnsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Johannes Eriksson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Fearless's Roger Lind got a free kick in the 35th minute. Sonny Josefsson got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Patric Springfält. With an all-out effort, IFK Ystad's Johannes Eriksson threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Bergqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tomas Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Johannes Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Bergqvist to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Tunberg during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute Tomas Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomas Bergqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johannes Eriksson was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Gunnar Kämpe fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 84th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Isaac Blom might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikael Blomqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Blom ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaac Blom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikael Blomqvist having to make a save. Johannes Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 96 played minutes Fearless got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Blom. Johannes Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Björnsson in the 97th minute of the match. IFK Ystad's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
