Johannes Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Erik Ekegren in the 4th minute of play. Johannes Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Kjellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of Malmö FF booed when Fearless was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Thomas Lundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Gunnar Snäll sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fearless's Johannes Eriksson didn't even have to move. If Karl-Erik Ekegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johannes Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Kjellkvist in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Jack Kjellkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johannes Eriksson. Fearless's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jack Kjellkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Fearless's Egil Edström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Dalkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gunnar Kämpe hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes, Malmö FF's Gunnar Snäll shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johannes Eriksson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malmö FF reached it. After a rather tough play, Fearless's Gustaf Martinsson got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 41 played minutes, Malmö FF's Joakim Lundström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johannes Eriksson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malmö FF reached it. Johannes Eriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Erik Ekegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Erik Ekegren in the 45th minute of the match. Johannes Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Erik Ekegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Malmö FF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egil Edström to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Karl-Erik Ekegren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johannes Eriksson. Karl-Erik Ekegren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 57 minutes into the match, Malmö FF's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Edström came free, but Esbjörn Dalkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Jack Kjellkvist rounded Fearless's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Karl-Erik Ekegren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Johannes Eriksson made a huge save. In the 75th minute Jack Kjellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Isaac Blom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 83 minutes on the clock, Tommy Nordmark commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fearless fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Malmö FF a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gunnar Snäll, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fearless's Johannes Eriksson. 0-5. Jack Kjellkvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Malmö FF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Karl-Erik Ekegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Eriksson having to interfere.
