After a defensive mix-up in Alfesta FF's zone, Lucas Henriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Göransson came out of the goal and Lucas Henriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ätrans FF's Ulf Blomqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kurt Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Henriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 15 played minutes Alfesta FF got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Uggstedt. After having played for 21 minutes, Gustav Mogren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alfesta FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustav Mogren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rasmus Gregersson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ätrans FF's Jens-Ola Wiberg got a free kick in the 27th minute. The attack was good, but when Inge Brovall in the 30th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Tor Kilstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Brovall, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 34 played minutes Ätrans FF got a freekick which was hit by Lars Malm. 1-0 became the score in the 37th minute when Inge Brovall elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tor Kilstedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustav Mogren in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Henriksson to make the kick off. Kurt Göransson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Kurt Göransson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Henriksson's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Ätrans FF defense, Inge Brovall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tor Kilstedt. The Ätrans FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tor Kilstedt should have stopped the shot. Tor Kilstedt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inge Brovall went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Ulf Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kurt Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sören Hagberg kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Kurt Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Henriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Alfesta FF support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
