Bengt-Rune Sandell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herbert Åhman. Österbybruk IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Herbert Åhman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Hafström in the 22nd minute of play. Österbybruk IFK's Herbert Åhman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Stabbe in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Benjamin Hafström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HTFF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Stabbe in the 34th minute of play forced Österbybruk IFK's goalkeeper Herbert Åhman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Gabriel Stabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HTFF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Stabbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herbert Åhman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Hafström in the 40th minute of the match. Benjamin Hafström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Åhman having to interfere. Michael Westerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Gregersson having to interfere. HTFF's Frank Gregersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebastian Arhenius in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Zebastian Arhenius fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Österbybruk IFK's protests and gave Zebastian Arhenius a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute of the match Aaron Palmquist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herbert Åhman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Österbybruk IFK's goalkeeper Herbert Åhman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Stabbe. When Michael Westerberg fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Österbybruk IFK's protests and gave Michael Westerberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of HTFF booed when Österbybruk IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Westerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gabriel Stabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. HTFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Stabbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Åhman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 76 in the game by Gabriel Stabbe from a close distance when the talented Herbert Åhman managed to make a qualified save. Österbybruk IFK's players were relieved. Gabriel Stabbe took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Åhman. Herbert Åhman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Herbert Åhman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Stabbe went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Stabbe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Åhman was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. If Benjamin Hafström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Stabbe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herbert Åhman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Zebastian Arhenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Gregersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, HTFF's Torgny Ivarsson got a free kick in the 96th minute.
