Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eric Lindqvist started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute of the match Backabo FC got a corner. Grums's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eskil Hjortsberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Eskil Hjortsberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grums's Rutger Nordin did a great save. Jan-Åke Esbjörnsson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Svensson in the 14th minute of play forced Backabo FC's goalkeeper Ronny Biörling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Backabo FC's Greger Matsson got a free kick in the 14th minute. Jan-Åke Esbjörnssons short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Ronny Biörling to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rutger Nordin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Lindqvist's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 29 played minutes Backabo FC got a freekick which was hit by Olle Blomqvist. Mattias Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ronny Biörling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Edmund Sjöö ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rutger Nordin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 36 minutes, Patrick Eklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grums and the Backabo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grums's Patrick Eklund got a free kick in the 36th minute. Eric Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Eric Lindqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grums's Rutger Nordin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anders Ekgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattias Svensson in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronny Biörling saved Backabo FC from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Patrick Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Backabo FC's Eric Lindqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rutger Nordin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mattias Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Alvin Finsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Åke Esbjörnsson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronny Biörling saved Backabo FC from getting behind. Ronny Biörling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Åke Esbjörnsson went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ronny Biörling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Åke Esbjörnsson in the 75th minute of play. Christer Bäckström hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Rutger Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Grums got a freekick which was hit by Anders Ekgren. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Mattias Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grums's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Svensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Biörling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Backabo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
