The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the game, Robin Glad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Täby IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Junosuando IF the free kick. Täby IFK:s Esbjörn Öman showed great skill when he stopped Sven-Åke Göransson:s penalty. The audience was convinced that Stefan Tinglöv's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esbjörn Öman was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Christian Rosin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Blom having to interfere. In the last second Karl Blom throw himself and got hold of the ball when Christer Tillman in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Junosuando IF booed when Täby IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Enström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefan Tinglöv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Tinglöv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Esbjörn Öman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Olof Malm fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Junosuando IF's protests and gave Olof Malm a yellow card for diving instead. Robin Glad, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stefan Tinglöv to strike the kick off in the second half. Christer Tillman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl Blom having to make a save. Karl Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Rosin in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Junosuando IF's zone, Christian Rosin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Blom came out of the goal and Christian Rosin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 played minutes Junosuando IF got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Sandberg. Christian Rosin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Karl Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Blom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christer Tillman's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Mattias Axelsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mattias Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Tinglöv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Öman having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mattias Sandberg during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mattias Sandberg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Junosuando IF's Stefan Tinglöv sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Öman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mattias Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Täby IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Tinglöv came free, but Esbjörn Öman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattias Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Öman having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
