The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thor Ekgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eddie Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Lindholm in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Lindholm in the 20th minute of play forced Svågertorp FF's goalkeeper Eddie Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Viskafors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Siggesson to maneuver through the defense. Manfred Alfors was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Svågertorp FF's Eddie Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Lindholm in the 40th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thor Ekgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Eddie Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Britz in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Viskafors IF booed when Svågertorp FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Benett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sören Siggesson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Viskafors IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Svågertorp FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
