In the 14th minute, one of Anderstorp IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Anderstorp IK. Månsarp RK's Calle Nordgren got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Månsarp RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Westerberg struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Karl-Oskar Vennersten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anderstorp IK. Månsarp RK's Karl-Oskar Vennersten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Danielsson in the 31st minute of play. Månsarp RK's Torgny Stolpe got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mats Vestberg charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mats Vestberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mats Vestberg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torgny Stolpe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Månsarp RK's Calle Nordgren got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl-Oskar Vennersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sten Danielsson came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Anderstorp IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Danielsson couldn't finish the play.
