Mariestad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bo-Erik Benetts short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Jonatan Arvidsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bo-Erik Benett had several of the Leksand BK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Jonatan Arvidsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Henrik Västerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mårten Högman kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Vilgot Fribäck took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marc Söderkvist. Marc Söderkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Vilgot Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Söderkvist having to interfere. If Henrik Västerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Fribäck in the 90th minute of play forced Mariestad's goalkeeper Marc Söderkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vilgot Fribäck came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Leksand BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilgot Fribäck couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Mariestad's goalkeeper Marc Söderkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Västerberg. When the final whistle sounded Leksand BK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mariestad.
