Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andreas Pettersson kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariestad's goalkeeper Marc Söderkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arvin Magnusson kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Månsarp RK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bo-Erik Benett fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Pettersson in the 12th minute of play forced Månsarp RK's goalkeeper Karl-Oskar Vennersten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Andreas Pettersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariestad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Pettersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bo-Erik Benett blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Oskar Vennersten having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Mårten Högman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Andreas Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thor Pilgren kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Egil Håkansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Månsarp RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mårten Högman's late challenge caught a Månsarp RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mårten Högman helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Mariestad got a freekick which was hit by Mårten Högman. After some careless play in the Månsarp RK defense, Andreas Pettersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Oskar Vennersten. The Månsarp RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Oskar Vennersten should have stopped the shot. After 45 played minutes Månsarp RK got a freekick which was hit by Egil Håkansson.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torgny Stolpe to make the kick off. Månsarp RK's Calle Nordgren got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torgny Stolpe in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marc Söderkvist saved Mariestad from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Calle Nordgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Månsarp RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Karl-Oskar Vennersten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Pettersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Marc Söderkvist didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. A collision led to Månsarp RK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kjell Fredriksson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andreas Pettersson in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Oskar Vennersten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Månsarp RK's Torgny Stolpe in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mariestad's goalie prevented a goal. Torgny Stolpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Söderkvist having to interfere. Månsarp RK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
