Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Leksand BK's Vilgot Fribäck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 4 minutes on the clock, Per-Erik Sundberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Leksand BK booed when FC Esset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Erik Sundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl Odeen kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Karl Odeen hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Vilgot Fribäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Malte Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrik Västerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malte Wall having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Leksand BK's Vilgot Fribäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Malte Wall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. August Vacker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Esset getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jarl Lange hit a great ball. Henrik Västerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malte Wall having to interfere. Vilgot Fribäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malte Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Fribäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilgot Fribäck in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malte Wall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Vilgot Fribäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Malte Wall was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Malte Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilgot Fribäck in the 44th minute of the match. Henrik Västerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Leksand BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. August Vacker was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Leksand BK got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Västerberg. Henrik Västerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Malte Wall made a huge save. In the 59th minute, FC Esset's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vilgot Fribäck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Malte Wall was a little too slow when Vilgot Fribäck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 67thth minute of the game Vilgot Fribäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Esset's Malte Wall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henrik Västerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Malte Wall made a huge save. Malte Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilgot Fribäck in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Henrik Västerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrik Västerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malte Wall having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Vilgot Fribäck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leksand BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilgot Fribäck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Esset's Malte Wall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save FC Esset from getting a goal against them. Malte Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilgot Fribäck in the 79th minute of play. Michel Albäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Fribäck in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Esset's goalkeeper Malte Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Västerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Malte Wall made a huge save. FC Esset's Malte Wall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Esset from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the match, August Vacker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonatan Arvidsson. Leksand BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that August Vacker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. FC Esset's Jarl Lange quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lukas Deckbergh, made in the 95th minute of the game. Leksand BK played a much better game than FC Esset and deserved their victory. The FC Esset players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
