Gilbert Lindström's shot from long distance in the 16th minute was not bad at all, but Ruff Riderz's Inge Tinglöv knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 17 minutes into the match, Örnsköldsvik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Olsson came free, but Dag Flink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes, Örnsköldsvik FC's Kasper Västlund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inge Tinglöv came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Örnsköldsvik FC reached it. If Calle Sellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inge Tinglöv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calle Sellberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Örnsköldsvik FC's Dag Flink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Bergström in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute Petter Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dag Flink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Jon Berg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dag Flink showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Tommy Vallgren came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ruff Riderz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Vallgren couldn't finish the play. Inge Tinglöv was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Calle Sellberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Vallgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Joakim Bergström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Dag Flink made a huge save. Inge Tinglöv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Ekenberg in the 54th minute of the match. If Tommy Vallgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inge Tinglöv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gottfrid Lööf in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th minute, Calle Sellberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Örnsköldsvik FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 71st match minute, Örnsköldsvik FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Lidberg to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Mark Ekenberg sped through Ruff Riderz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Inge Tinglöv. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Sellberg in the 80th minute of play forced Ruff Riderz's goalkeeper Inge Tinglöv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inge Tinglöv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Sellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tommy Vallgren fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruff Riderz's protests and gave Tommy Vallgren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ruff Riderz's Tommy Vallgren got a free kick in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Örnsköldsvik FC's Calle Sellberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inge Tinglöv made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Calle Sellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Örnsköldsvik FC had won after a very even match.
