An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Melin in the 13th minute of play forced Fengersfors FF's goalkeeper Helge Hedkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claes Gudmundsson fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fengersfors FF's protests and gave Claes Gudmundsson a yellow card for diving instead. Claes Gudmundsson hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Mattmar BF's Aleksander Haström in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fengersfors FF's goalie prevented a goal. Hans Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Gudmundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Helge Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Melin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Aleksander Haström sped through Fengersfors FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Helge Hedkvist. 27 minutes into the game, Aleksander Haström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Helge Hedkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Bengt-Rune Jansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bengt-Rune Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Askelöf having to interfere. Helge Hedkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Haeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Fengersfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Strömbom came free, but Helge Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Hedkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Haström in the 44th minute of play. Helge Hedkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Melin in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Mattmar BF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hans Askelöf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt-Rune Jansson's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Helge Hedkvist was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Aleksander Haström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aleksander Haström really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Claes Gudmundsson got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 87th match minute, Fengersfors FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Gudmundsson to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Fengersfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Melin came free, but Helge Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattmar BF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Fengersfors FF's much stronger midfield.
