The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Ove Bergqvist got free with Torbjörn Månsson in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evert Klint charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Klint the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Blixtar fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Blixtar's Anders Ivarsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Karl-Oskar Gabrielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Inge Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan-Ove Bergqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Torbjörn Månsson made a huge save. Anders Ivarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inge Vennerlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Månsson having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inge Vennerlund in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torbjörn Månsson saved Blixtar from getting behind. Anders Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Edmund Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmund Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Ivarsson in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Blixtar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inge Vennerlund made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Anders Ivarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Christopher Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blixtar's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmund Göransson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Thomas Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anders Ivarsson struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Edmund Göransson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blixtar. 66 minutes into the match, Palantir's goalkeeper Edmund Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anders Ivarsson. Anders Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edmund Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Palantir's Inge Vennerlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torbjörn Månsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With his leg Edmund Göransson managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Blixtar's Anders Ivarsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Blixtar booed when Palantir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Paulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmund Göransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Ivarsson in the 88th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Blixtar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Jansson to maneuver through the defense.
