Vilgot Wasseniuss short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Herbert Wallin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Folke Söderström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Svanberg having to make a save. Folke Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Henry Hjelm struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Thomas Svanberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grangärde FF. Grangärde FF's Herbert Wallin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Grangärde FF from getting a goal against them. Henry Hjelm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Thomas Svanberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Folke Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Svanberg having to interfere. Karl-Axel Pihlberg hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Grangärde FF's Hubert Trulsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Henry Hjelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Söderström to make the kick off. Thomas Svanberg was a little too slow when Henry Hjelm got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Thomas Svanberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Söderström, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Thomas Svanberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folke Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Svanberg having to interfere. Henry Hjelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Folke Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grangärde FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Folke Söderström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Svanberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dennis Rosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Folke Söderström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Köpmanholmen BF's goalkeeper Thomas Svanberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Hjelm. Folke Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Svanberg having to interfere. After some careless play in the Köpmanholmen BF defense, Henry Hjelm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Svanberg. The Köpmanholmen BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Svanberg should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Köpmanholmen BF's Vilgot Wassenius got a free kick in the 94th minute. Folke Söderström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Svanberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Grangärde FF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
